Byzantium Relics Tour Istanbul

Highlights of Istanbul Byzantium relics Tour
You will be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 am for Byzantine Relics Tour and you will be taken to meeting point. After meeting with group and your Istanbul tour guide, you will start to tour by visiting St. Sophia and continue to Blue Mosque via Hippodrome. After visiting Byzantine Hippodrome continue to Blue Mosque, visiting inside of the Blue Mosque (Visit is not possible on Friday due to quite limited access because of the Friday Prayer), Continue to Grand Covered Bazaar which is know as Big Bazaar. Tour guide will inform you about the Grand Bazaar and give you time to discover the bazaar. Tour will be ended after visiting Grand Covered Bazaar around 13:00 pm. Return to your hotel will be end of the Istanbul Byzantium Relics tour.

Brief Information about the sites:
Hagia Sophia : This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great, in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architechtural marvels of all time.

Blue Mosque : Across from St. Sophia built in the 17th century by the architect Mehmet, this is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.

Hippodrome : The scene of ancient chariot races, the ancient Hippodrome, with its four monuments; the GERMAN FOUNTAIN OF WILHELM II, the OBELISK OF THEODOSIUS, the bronze SERPENTINE COOLUMN and the COLUMN OF CONSTANTINE.

Grand Coverd Bazaar : In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4,000 shops with aech trade having its own area; the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as handpainted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onnyxware and meerschaum pipers.

Wir haben diese Tur durch diese Agentur gebucht.Privat kann mann alles auch besuchen.Aber wir haben es mit Reiseleiter bevorzugt.Dann hat man einen besseren Überblick und ist besser informiert.Die blaue Moschee,Hagia Sophia was früher eine Kirche war.Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.Da ist auch jemand der sehr gut Deutsch spricht(Yasin).Er hat uns sehr gute Tips gegeben.Danke nochmals.....
