Meal : Lunch
You will be picked up from your hotel and joint to the group and your tour guide. You will start to visit; St. Sophia. After visiting interior of Hagia Sophia walk to Hippodrome. While you are wolking in the Hoppodrome, you see the Germen Fountain of Wilhelm II, the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Sepentine Column and the colum of Constantine. Afterwards, walk to the Blue Mosque, visiting inside of the Blue Mosque, Then visit Grand Covered Bazaar which is know as Big Bazaar. Tour guide will inform you about he Grand Bazaar and give you time to discover the bazaar. After that we will have lunch in a local restaurant then drive along the Bosphorus and pass through the first Bosphorus Bridge of Istanbul and you will have panoramic view of Two Continents. At the end of the Bosphorus Bridge, we stop at Beylerbeyi Palace which was the last summer house of Ottoman, visit interior of the Beylerbeyi Palace. After visiting Beylerbeyi Palace, the tour will continue to Camlica Hill which is the hightest hill of Istanbul, has panoramic view of Two Continents and Bosphorus. After spending sometime to watch the view and rest on the Camlica hill, return to hotel. You will be drop off at hotel. It will be end of the Istanbul Byzantium Relics & Two Continents tour.
Brief Info about the sites :
Hagia Sophia : This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great, in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architechtural marvels of all time.
Blue Mosque : Across from St. Sophia built in the 17th century by the architect Mehmet, this is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.
Hippodrome : The scene of ancient chariot races, the ancient Hippodrome, with its four monuments; the GERMAN FOUNTAIN OF WILHELM II, the OBELISK OF THEODOSIUS, the bronze SERPENTINE COOLUMN and the COLUMN OF CONSTANTINE.
Grand Coverd Bazaar : In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4,000 shops with aech trade having its own area; the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as handpainted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onnyxware and meerschaum pipers.
Bosphorus Bridge : Also known as the First Bosphorus Bridge, the Bosphorus Bridge is just one of the 2 bridges in Istanbul, Turkey. It spans the Bosphorus Strait and bridges the gap between Asia and Europe
Beylerbeyi Palace : The summer residence of Ottoman Sultans with its original furniture and magnificent gardens with the HAREM on the ASIAN SİDE.
Camlica Hill : The highest hill in Istanbul. At the top of it you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of İstanbul and the Bosphorus from the beautiful gardens, landscape in traditional style, as you sip your drinks in a cafeteria.
