7 Days Jewish Heritage Turkey Tour covers to pick you up from the Istanbul airport and you will discover Istanbul Jewish sights and continue flight to Smyrna and stay in Izmir. Next days you will visit Sardis and Ephesus than flight back to Istanbul. You will have guided tours and hotel accommodation with this programme.

Private Jewish Haritage Tour
Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul
Upon arrive in Istanbul. Pick up from the Istanbul Airport. After we meet you at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul
Breakfast at hotel. After meet with your guide, visit the Jewish Museum ( Monday to Thursday between 10:00am to 16:00pm) in Karakoy street, just near old Tunnel where you can see the Ottoman and Turkish tolerance to the Jewish community in Turkey and it is also a unique and only one museum one of the Muslum country in the world.  Then visit the Neve Shalom Synagogue or the Askenazy Synagogue. We drive to Balat where we will visit to Star of David, appears on the facade of some of the buildings in the area and during the tour we will continue to visit Ahrida Synagogue which was built in 1412. After tour, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3: Istanbul
Breakfast at hotel. Today we will explore some of Istanbul’s most famous landmarks and see why it is the only city in the world that truly bridges East and West, past and present. Visit the world-renowned Blue Mosque, built in 1616, and enjoy the rare beauty of its Iznik tiles and six minarets. Across the way. Then Hagia Sophia, built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian as the largest and most magnificent church in the Christian world. After lunch, it’s on to explore the worldly splendors of Topkapi Palace overlooking the bosporus, home of the Ottoman sultans for almost 400 years. The oldest and largest of the remaining palaces in the world. Many of the Ottoman diplomats and court physicians were Jews and you’ll have the chance to walk in their footsteps, as you explore the lavish chambers and courtyards that comprise the Palace and their contents including the legendary harem, imperial thrones, costumes and precious jewels. The most famous inhabitant of the treasury is the pear-shaped 86 carat Spoonmaker’s Diamond, one of the largest in the world. The Grand Bazaar was built at the command of Fatih Mehmet shortly after the Conquest. It contains 4399 shops, 2195 workshops, 497 stalls and 18 fountains. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel, time at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4: Istanbul – Izmir
Breakfast and check out from your hotel in the morning. Visit the Egyptian Bazaar known as Spice Market to taste the hundreds of lively colored spices; before embark on a ferry to start your cruise on the Bosphorus Strait, while sailing along the European and Asian shores enjoy viewing Ottoman Palaces, Fortresses, Ottoman wooden houses and Suspension bridges. After this lovely cruise, drive to airport and take a flight to Izmir known in ancient times as Smyrna and has a 400-year-old Jewish community. Arrive in Izmir and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 5: Izmir Smyrna – Sardis – Ephesus
Breakfast & check out from the hotel. You will visit Beth Israel Synagogue which dating from 220 B.C. It is abundant in synagogues, of which you will visit the most important one this morning. Then drive on to Sardis, the ancient capital of Lydia. Here you will visit the remains of one of the world’s oldest synagogue’s, the Sardis Synagogue, first built in the 3rd century BC. After tour, drive to Ephesus. Check into hotel. Overnight in Ephesus.

Day 6: Ephesus
After breakfast, we will have a full day to explore Ephesus, one of the best-preserved cities of antiquity. It is the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You will stroll the marble road past the Roman terrace houses, the Library of Celsus and the bath to the theater where Greek and Roman drama was performed and classical concerts still take place today. We will also stop by the House of Virgin Mary close by where she is reputed to have spent her last years. You will be able to collect some holy water from the Sacred Spring.  At the end of the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight in Ephesus.

Day 7: Flight to Istanbul
Breakfast & Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport flight back to Istanbul. Arrive in Istanbul and the end of the 7 days Jewish Heritage Turkey tour itinerary.
