After visiting Topkapi Palace, walk to Sultans Tombs. There are five tombs of Ottoman Sultans within the graveyard at St. Sophia. Topkapi Palace : Ottoman sultans ruled Empire from the 15th to the 19th centuries from this great palace. Now It is museum and housing an exquisite collection of precious gems, thrones of sultans, jewellery, robes worn by the sultans and their families, miniatures, the Holy Mantle, CHAMBER OF SACRED RELICS.
Note: Harem is not included in the program and visit is due to extra entrance fee.
Sultans Tombs : Five Ottoman Sultans are buried within the graveyard at St. Sophia. The ceramic panels are the most beautiful examples of the 16th century with purple, green, blue, and red flower motives. Prince robes and a small piece from the Kaaba covers are displayed on the sarcophaguses.
